CAIS was honored to be invited by the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong to visit the HMCS Vancouver of the Royal Canadian Navy. Some of our high schoolers have shared their experiences about this visit on the naval ship.“On Friday, May 3, 2018, we visited the HMCS Vancouver, an active Canadian naval ship. We were able to experience life at sea as we learned about the communication technology, navigation tools, and protocols that sailors have to follow. We also learned about the peacefulness of the Canadian navy when we heard that they never fired a single shot for purposes other than training and practice. Onboard, we were challenged by the captain to find a sailor we didn’t like, and we failed in that mission, as expected.”– Gabriel Chan, Yasmine Kwong, Marco Wong
