Human Resources Officer / Assistant Officer

Christian Alliance International School (CAIS), a non-profit making school wholly owned by the Kowloon Tong Church of the Chinese Christian and Missionary Alliance, invites applications for the position of Human Resources Officer / Assistant Officer. The Human Resources Office provides day-to-day support for both teaching and non-teaching staff in a myriad of ways. The incumbent will be one of the key members of the Human Resources team, with a range of duties that include, but are not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the implementation and enhancement of the HR system including but not limited to data preparation, UAT, liaison with service vendor, user training and other related administrative support;
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HR databases;
  • Facilitate the establishment and ongoing maintenance of the SharePoint platform;
  • Provide support to the staff professional development program, including visa applications, accommodations, travel arrangements, etc;
  • Support daily team operations, such as leave management, insurance administration, and staff departure procedures;
  • Respond to staff inquiries and coordinate with service providers for HR services;
  • Support the annual performance appraisal exercise;
  • Support the digitalization process and streamlining the work procedures;
  • Support in developing HR policies, procedures and staff manuals;
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR department;
  • Promote a collegial, collaborative, and Christ-centered work environment that encourages continuous development, growth, integrity, and professionalism;
  • Carry out ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • A good team player, responsible, self-motivated, well-organized, patient, meticulous, multitasked, and works well under a variety of timelines
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Hands-on experience in HRIS and Power Automate will be a plus
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Candidate with an understanding of Christian values preferred
  • Immediate available advantageous
